Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most at the counter and over the form, answered plainly. If yours is not here, send it and we will answer it directly — the better the question, the more useful the answer.
Common questions
Do you charge for a diagnosis?
A diagnosis carries a fee that is quoted before we start and often applied toward the repair when you approve it. We would rather charge for real testing than guess and sell you parts you did not need. If the fault is obvious and quick to confirm, the diagnosis is quick too.
How long will my repair take?
Maintenance is often same-day, a major repair runs longer, and anything needing ordered parts depends on how fast those land. We quote a window once we know the fault and update you if it changes. For fleets, we schedule around your operating hours where we can.
Are you a mobile-only shop?
No. We have a shop for jobs that need a lift, a press or real tearing down, and mobile bays for trucks that cannot come in. Some faults are settled on the road; others only make sense in the bay, and we tell you which one your truck needs before we start.
How is pricing handled?
Every figure we give before seeing the truck is a range that varies by year, make and trim. Once we have the diagnosis you get a written itemized estimate for parts and labor, and work only starts after you approve it. No surprise line items are added after the fact.
Can you help a business fleet?
Yes. Fleets get priority scheduling, service on their own route where it fits, per-unit records and one point of contact. Send your unit list and how each truck is used, and we set a maintenance plan that keeps downtime predictable instead of catching you mid-job.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring the vehicle itself, any recent repair receipts, and a note of when the fault shows up. If a warning light is on, tell us how long it has been lit. Those details save diagnostic time, and time is the part of the bill people can most easily reduce.
Still have a question?
If the answer you need is not on this page, send it through the contact form and it will get a direct reply. We do not mind questions that seem basic, because an unclear owner is more likely to delay a repair that matters. Tell us the symptom and the vehicle and we will give you the most useful answer we can, even when that answer is that the truck should be looked at in person rather than diagnosed over a message.
