Terms of service

These terms describe how 4x4 RGV takes on work and what you can expect from us in return.

Estimates and authorisation

A range given before inspection is an estimate, not a final price, and it varies by year, make and trim. Once we diagnose the fault you receive a written estimate for parts and labor. No billable work begins until you authorise it. If we find something else mid-repair, we pause and contact you for approval before continuing.

Parts and workmanship

We install parts matched to your application and quote options where quality or price differs. Workmanship is backed for the period stated on your invoice, and parts carry their own manufacturer warranty. Warranty does not cover unrelated wear, abuse, neglect or use outside the vehicle's design.

  • Workmanship guaranteed as invoiced
  • Parts carry manufacturer warranty
  • Warranty voided by misuse or neglect

Payment and storage

Payment is due on completion unless we agree to fleet terms in writing. If a finished vehicle is left with us beyond an agreed collection window, a storage charge may apply. We will always try to contact you before any extra charge is added.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care of every vehicle in our custody and test our work before release. We are responsible for the quality of the repair we performed, and not for pre-existing faults, unrelated systems or problems created by parts we did not supply. If something we did is wrong, tell us and we will make it right.

Changes and questions

These terms may change as the shop and the law change, and the version on this page is the one that applies. If a term here seems unfair or unclear, ask us about it before authorising work, because a written understanding on both sides beats a dispute later. Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law gives you.

What is not covered

Our responsibility covers the repair we performed, not the whole vehicle. Damage from an unrelated system, a pre-existing fault, abuse or a part we did not supply is not covered. Neither is wear that happens normally after the repair. We are glad to recheck our own work when something seems off, and we will keep looking until the reason is clear. What we will not do is take responsibility for a problem the repair did not cause, and any fair shop draws the same line.
